Research On The Impact Of Environmental Performance On Financial Performance Of Petroleum Enterprise

With the rapid development of modern science and technology,more and more oil products have been applied in People's daily life.The increase demand of oil makes the oil companies constantly expanding the exploiting oil,which caused the increasingly serious environmental pollution problems.At present,The consciousness of environmental protection in most oil companies is weak,and they didn't realize the importance of environmental protection to the enterprise future value.How to improve the financial performance when companies have good environmental performance,many scholars exist great differences.In this paper, the author analyzed the existing theory and studied the relationship of the environmental performance indicators and financial performance indicators. At first, the author studied the current state of the environment of investment and economic benefits of the oil industry in recent years, found that petroleum enterprise environmental pollution is decreasing while the environmental protection and investment continue to strengthen. Then selected the indicators of environment performance and financial performance and studied the impact of environmental performance on the financial performance from twoaspects of environmental pollution and environmental expenditure. In this paper, we analyze the influence of environmental performance on the financial performance of the current and long-term by using the multiple regression model. At the same time, we combined environmental pollution and environmental indicators and got the comprehensive environmental performance indicators, which to study the role of environmental performance on financial performance from the overall level. Finally, by analyzing the results ofempirical analysis, this paper puts forward proposed measures to improve financial performance from three aspects: environmental information disclosure,environmental pollution and environmental protection. The research of the paper not only provides the relevant research data of environmental protection of oil enterprises in our country, but also provides a theoretical study of the environmental performancein other industries.
