Created by enterprises during production, operation and management under given circumstances, enterprise culture is the spiritual wealth and material form of enterprises with their own characteristics. It is rich in its content, including cultural concepts, view of value, enterprise spirit, code of ethics, rules of conduct, enterprise system, enterprise products and so on. As the soul of enterprises, enterprise culture offers an inexhaustible driving force for the growth of enterprises. The spirit and values of enterprises are the cores of enterprise culture. As for banks, in order to truly step into the market, the construction of enterprise culture must be widely spread and enhanced in their enterprises, only in this way can they develop fast, achieve good benefits and improve their overall quality on their way of development.Based on the simple introduction of some concepts related to enterprise culture, the paper analyzes the connotation, features and function of enterprise culture. This paper also explains the current state of enterprise culture in Bank W in detail and then makes an analysis and conclusion of the problems that exist in Bank W's enterprise culture from three levels: spirit, system and behavior. According to the case analysis of cultural construction in enterprises such as Barings Bank, Citibank and China Merchants Bank, the author concludes the lessons that Bank W should take as follows: firstly, the system of enterprise culture based on “People Foremost”must be established; secondly, the innovation concept of enterprise culture must be set up; lastly, internal control management and risk assessment must be valued. On the basis of analyzing problems and learning experiences, in the end of this paper, some suggestions are raised for building enterprise culture in Bank W: The premise is to unify the mind. The bank should increase its whole staff's awareness of enterprise culture, strengthen organization and leadership, concepttraining, establish regulatory framework and enhance communication. The foothold is “People Foremost”. All work, business and training should be carried out in a human-oriented way. It should also establish all kinds of regulations and rules, and code of conduct. The internal control and the risk of management is an urgent need to address the problem,they should raise awareness of risk and improve the internal control.The fountainhead of development is continuous innovation. The bank should try its best to achieve innovation in its service, business and marketing.
