With the rapid development of economy, the competitions among domestic enterprises turn out to be increasingly fierce, while the human resources is the most important part in enterprise competition, among which the performance management is the core of modern human resource management. Scientific and effective performance appraisal not only play an important role in realizing enterprise strategic target, but also relates to the immediate interests of the employees at all levels and operational efficiency of the organization. Therefore, how to design the evaluation system for the enterprises, a set of suitable evaluation system for the enterprise performance is needed, which is essential to improve business efficiency and improve the participation in the strength of the competition among enterprises.This article bases on A company, and on the basis of the current performance appraisal, we apply the basic theory of modern performance appraisal and performance management of the main ideas, and do comprehensive and systematic analysis on the current situation for A company's performance, and point out the problems that exit at all levels of staff performance. On the basis of analysis,we can design the goal of performance system, use the target management and key performance indicators method to establish the company performance evaluation system.Basing on the actual operation status of various divisions of the company, we set the strategic goal of layers of decomposition to each department, in the end to the each post of the company, improving the company employees at all levels of performance evaluation indicators and determining the appraisal main body and the cycle of design, filling some blanks. From the index, index weight, evaluation method, we optimize the company development performance appraisal system to complete the requirements, and finally from system, culture, organization, communication and feedback, etc in this paper, we need security measures for the new system. To ensure that after the optimization design of performance appraisal system in A company, we can achieve good effect, strengthen the collaboration between departments and employees and improve the operation efficiency of the organization, finally realize the enterprise overall strategic target.The optimization of the performance appraisal system is a difficult and complicated project, in which most enterprises in our country is still in the phase of start and grope for, especially this kind of chain retail enterprises, A company still has many problems in performance appraisal. Therefore, this is why A company set up a performance evaluation system to optimize the preliminary attempt, which can help to find and establish a set of suitable reality and have a practical significance of performance appraisal methods, for chain retail enterprise performance appraisal reform to provide some reference.
