Carrying the important mission of national or regional economic growth, port development is also the main direction of "The Thirteen Five-Year Plan" and "The Belt and Road Initiative" of Chinese government. The ports need to ensure improving economic efficiency and focus on the issues of green development. Meanwhile, with the greatly enhance of port economic efficiency currently, the conflicts caused by it between environment and resource are increasingly prominent. Besides, the international community is paying more attention on the problem of environmental pollution in the process of port construction and operation, therefore, the green development issues under the idea of economic raise new challenges and methods for the future development of ports.Currently, academic studies on the development of ports mainly focus on the present situation of port economic, evaluation of the degree of greening and green competitiveness and so on. Although the issue of how to improve the green development of port has studied in theory, few of which studied the factors that hindering the development of the port greening. In fact, achieving green development is an inevitably part of the transformation of its economic development pattern, which can maintain the balance of surrounding ecological environment, reduce the risk of environmental pollution and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of port operation. Sustainable development is a necessary requirement for local economy, society as a whole so as to achieve coordinate, stable and sustainable development.Firstly, this paper had defined the concept of port green development based on available literature and current situation of port enterprises. And all the factors that may affect the green development of port enterprises were identified. According to the institutional theory and resource theory, a comprehensive theoretical mode of green development was developed from the perspective both internal and external of the ports. Then, key factors were screened and identified after interviewing with corporate executives and relative researchers. Finally, collected data were analyzed by the method of Grey-Dematel to classify the identified factors, describing the importance and the logical relationship between the various factors. And then conclusions of this paper were draw.
