Yuchai company chooses and introduces into Lean Production which is a kind of effectual management tool, and implement lean manufacturing projects.The thesis's research object is improving item about production locale management of 6M machining line in Engine Plant 3. First, In view of the original data management system of the workshop and the poor compatibility of lean production concept, data collection and management is not standardized, data analysis method is not scientific, resulting in the problem of tracking and evaluation of the problem is not timely and accurately.And, based on Lean Production Theory, structure the system of management index evaluation of adapting to lean production concept. It builds a series of data index management and mode of improving locale, such as data collecting, writing, storage, analyzing, examining, diagnosing and so on. Secondly, to data oriented, and comprehensive use of line balancing analysis and other lean tools and methods, analysis and research on the impact of machine processing production line running the main constraints and improve the object, to develop a better program and to carry out on-site improvement activities,such as time loss optimization, combined operation, improve equipment, fixtures, tools and inspection system to improve, reduce WIP and waste handling, application of ergonomics, TPM and so on. Finally, the method and experience in the field improvement activities are summarized, and the workshop operation standard system is established, and, a set of workshop visual management manual is evolved. Practical results show, production efficiency has been greatly improved Because of Implementing lean production on data oriented in 6M machining line. In addition, because of improving efficiency, reducing workers, playing down the rate of failure and maintenance costs and storage fund, much income was brought. After converting, income is 3654000 yuan.
