The Study On The Religious-scenic-type Endowment Space Integration

As China enters the aging society, pension problem is getting worse. Religious endowment, as an effective form for religious institutions to participate into social welfare undertakings, as well as an important part of the pension, is booming all over the country. Meanwhile, along with the introduction of the national policy of religious freedom, the emancipation of the ideological imprisonment, the deepening of religion secularization and the spiritual crisis caused by industrial civilization, "Religion Boom" spread over the country quickly, pushing religious scenic vigorous expansion in our country. As one results of the development of religious endowment and religious scenic, the religious-scenic-type endowment has also been also growing.Simultaneously, the resulting issues in the interior space of religious-scenic-type endowment, such as functional space, culture, transportation, and landscape, has severely restricted the joint development of religion, religious scenic, and religious endowment. Therefore, this thesis attempts to discuss the specific strategies and methodologies of space integration for the religious-scenic-type endowment pertinently, from the perspective space integration.Firstly, based on the analysis of the state of art, the concepts of the religious scenic type endowment and space integration are specified and employed to defined the concept of the religious-scenic-type endowment space integration. Then, the goals of space integration are suggested as optimizing the organizational space environment, shaping the brand and establishing the image, as well as sustainable development. Accordingly, it is stated that the space should be integrated systematically, regionally-structurally, following the principles humanity, integrity, diversity and sustainability, based on the nature of the religious-scenic-type endowment space.Secondly, in a macro-scale of religious space, scenic space, pension space and their integration the religious-scenic-type endowment space, the particular strategy for space integration has been discussed, with consideration of elements including functional space, culture, transportation, landscape etc. By doing so, we aim to solving the existing problems and achieving sustainable development of religion, religious scenic, religious endowment, making the religious-scenic-type endowment space a comfortable and beautiful place with full service facilities, where functions including religious activities, leisure, entertainment, shopping,sightseeing, regimen and endowment are integrated.Thirdly, in a micro-scale, the functional space, transportation and landscape are designed integrally based on elderly suitability, according to the physiological, psychological and behavioral characteristics of the elderly. A religious-scenic-type endowment space embodying the human spirit can be created for the elderly to live suitably.Taking Shaxian Jixiang Temple for example, we carried out a case study to illustrate and validate the presented method. The existing problems, which are analyzed through field research and space syntax, can be solved by the strategies and methodologies in this thesis, and thus demonstrate their effectiveness and exploitativeness for space integration of religious-scenic-type endowment.In the course of the research,this thesis makes full use of literature research, theoretical research, field research and other research methods to execute multi-level, multi-factor space integration study of the religious-scenic-type endowment space. The purpose is to create a comfortable and efficient religious-scenic-type endowment space, to shape a unique brand for it and to make its development integrately, orderly, and sustainably. This thesis can provide guidance and reference for religious-scenic-type endowment space integration. Also, we hope that it can be a good prelude to promote the sustainable development of religious endowment, which do much favor in solving the pension problem and building a harmonious society.
