| Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy. It is greatly significant to keep the development of agriculture healthy and sustainable. Large-scale and clustering are not only forms of agricultural development at home and abroad, but also a trend of the future agricultural development. Mango is one of the famous tropical fruits with important economic and society value, whose fruit can be used as fresh food and medicine. Its stem can be processed as the furniture and the saplings as road afforestation trees, and so on. Baise is one of the main mango production bases in China. It has become a pressing task to be resolved for the agricultural development of Youjiang District on how to speed up the large-scale and clustering development and to keep the development of agriculture healthy and sustainable under the new normal development of economy. This thesis compares the general developmental status and the experience of mango industry at domestic and abroad, studies the current mango industry situation, analyzes its problems, and puts forward the countermeasures for promoting mango industry development in Youjiang District.International mango industry has developed rapidly and mango market demand has increased in these years. Mangos are planted in 85 countries. The mango planting area and yield of India is the largest in world, which planting area is over 1,000,000 ha, accounting for 70% of the total fruit tree area. Other major mango producing countries include Thailand, China, Mexico, Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and so on. The main importing countries of mango include USA, Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, and so on. The production of mango will focus on large-scale, standardization, and ecologicalization in future in terms of the trend of the industrial development of international mango. Its marketing will be conducted in the main direction of developed countries, and so on in terms of the sales. The fresh mangos for sale will be kept a certain rather high percentage. The processed products for sale of higher additional value will gradually increase.There are some characters of mango in our country like the concentration of production area, strong convergence, and backward processing. (1) There are 5 main production areas in China including early ripe mango planting region in Hainan Province, early or mid-maturation mango planting region in Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong Province, mid-maturation mango planting region in Youjiang River Valley in Guangxi, mango planting region along Yuanjiang River in the southwest-south-middle of Yunnan province, late ripe mango planting region of the hot valley of Jianggan River. (2) The ranking of its planting area and yield is Hainan, Guangxi. Yunnan, Guangdong, Sichuan, Fujian, and Guizhou. (3). The main cultivars of mango are Tainong No.1, Jinhuang, Guifei. and so on, which Tainong No.1 is the largest in the planting area and the most in number of Guiqi has been very popular and developed quickly in recent years. The consumer market potential of mango is vast, but the development of mango industry is relatively low. It needs to take the large-scale road of standardization and constantly improve the research and use of science and technology for mango industry and promote the benefit of mango industry.It has a long history for Youjiang District of Baise city to plant mango, which was sent to emperors as a local famous tribute in the early period of Song and Yuan Dynasties. In 2013. the planting area of mango within Youjiang District was 135.000 mu. accounting for 31% of the total in Guangxi. Its yield reached 63.200 tons and the production value attained 261,000,000 yuan. There were 29,741 planting families, which were located at the areas of Longjing Street, Sitang Town, Yongle Town, Wangdian Yao Village, and Yangxu Town. The main mango cultivars include Tainong No.1, Jinhuang. Hongxiangya. and Guire No.82.Youjiang District of Baise was given the title of Land of China's Mango by the National Ministry of Agriculture. It bears the superiorities like pleasant climate and geography, enough land resources, wide mass base, reasonable planting regional distribution and cultivar structure, the standardization of cultivation technique, strong policy and service support, and so on. However, there are also some problems including low scale and organization, imbalance of regional development, weak infrastructure, imperfect service of security system, low industrialization, farmers' low quality, and insufficient investment for science and technology, and so on.The countermeasures of the healthy and sustainable development of mango industry in Youjiang District are as follows. Firstly, it is necessary to improve the development of industrial cluster and increase industry influence and benefit of mango industry in terms of development approaches. The main countermeasures include scale planting and brand building, scale operation and decreasing industry cost, improving deep processing and increasing industrial added value, ect. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the effect of government behavior and to play a role in the mechanism of exogenous power of industry development. The main countermeasures include strengthening infrastructure and improving production conditions, strengthening product quality and safety control, implementing land transfer policy, ensuring industrial development space, increasing science and technology investment, enhancing industry level, perfecting service system, and improving farmers' quality, ect. |
