Study On The Application Of Open Source Design To Tourist Souvenir Design With Guizhou Characteristics Based On Digital Technology

There are abundant tour resources in Guzhou province, but the development of tourist souvenir is still very backward, and the design level also needs to be enhanced. To improve this situation, a new exploration in the design of the tourist souvenir with Guizhou characteristics has been made. The personalized design concept and customization idea of tourist souvenir is realized through the promotion of methodology and approaches.This research is focused on the innovation application in the tourist souvenir design based on the emerging open source design model. Modern digital design and manufacturing technology is the foundation, and the traditional crafts is also considered. At an early stage of this study, methods of literature study and systematic analysis are adopted to get more acquainted with tourist souvenir, open source design and digital technology. Questionnaire method and the research method of integrating theory with practice are also used to expand market research, in order to have a better understanding of the development status of the tourist souvenir in Guizhou. Midway through the study,the tourist souvenir design process with open source design model is proposed based on the digital technology. On basis of the above research, the culture design elements collection with Guizhou characteristics, function carrier base of the tourist souvenir and design prototype database are established. Finally, the personalized design concept and customization idea of tourist souvenir is completed in the design practice, and the product is manufactured by the digital processing technology. The design method and design process is proved to be effective in the innovation design of tourist souvenir.
