Guangdong Province is the country's major agricultural province, but also the region with frequent natural disasters, the National 44 kinds of major natural disasters have occurred in the 40 kinds of Guangdong, the average annual natural disasters up to 30 times, in 2013 affected a n area of 1.15 million hectares, resulting in 18.7 billion in direct economic losses.
