Research On The Food Safety Governance In Quanzhou

Recently, with more and m ore problems of food safety having been reported in China, the sustainable development of Chinese food industry has been limited. As we know, private enterprises in Quanzhou are so active, characterized by sm all scale, large quantity, wide distribution, which ar e arduous to make food safety governance. With the r apid development of food i ndustry and the reform of food safety supervision system in Quanzhou, the weakne ss of the original food safety regulation mode has gradually emerged, which makes it urgent for the government to change the concept and mode of government regulation.The purpose of this paper is to research on the food safety governance in Quanzhou. Firstly, the paper introduces the backgr ound, research questions, research m ethods, and the research resu lts of domestic and foreign academic circles. The second part introduces the theory of government regulation, governance and collaborative governance. The third part studies on th e Quanzhou m unicipal government, food companies, consumers, third departments and other relevant parties and governance means, a de tailed analysis of the current problem s and the causes of food safety governance. The fourth part mainly analyzes the food safety supervision systems and governance models of the United States, the European Union and Japan, and sums up their common characteristics, to pro vide a useful inspiration for i mproving the food safety governance in Quanzhou. The fifth part, from the perspective of reinforcing the foundation of food safe ty governance, improving the cap acity of governm ent food safety regulation and s trengthening the co llaborative governance of multiagent, discusses in detail the establishment of the government-led but market-based path, participated by the food industry, consumers and the third sector. Finally, this paper is summarized with positive m arket prospects of food safety under the cooperative governance.
