The Development Situation, Problems And Strategies Of Ecotourism In Panyu District, Guangzhou City

Panyu district is located at Guangzhou city,middle part of Pearl River Delta Area and middle south of Guangdong province, and also in the center of “small Pearl River Delta” of Guangzhou city, Hong Kong and Macao. Therefore, Panyu has a unique geographical advantage to develop ecotourism. However, there are many problems in the development of ecotourism of Panyu district. In this paper, theoretical and empirical analysis method were used to analysis the current situation and problems in the development of ecotourism in Panyu, based on the experience and lesson of research at home and abroad. By combining the actual situation of Panyu ecotourism, the methods for promoting sustainable development of ecotourism was proposed, in order to coordinate economic development, environment, ecology, social and cultural heritage protection with Panyu characteristics.The following problems were found in current ecotourism of Panyu:(1) issues on procedure of land use right;(2) the tourist attractions were not centralized;(3) the travel agency grounding capacity is insufficient, tourist market development ability is weak;(4)personal qualities of attendant are not high enough;(5) tourism supporting services and related supporting services are not sufficient enough;(6) environmental problems and the understanding of ecotourism is not deep. Aiming at the above problems, this study suggested several countermeasures:(1) scientific and rational development planning;(2)establish a sound management mechanism;(3) practice tourism + internet and explore the wisdom of tourism projects;(4) strengthen coordination and development of tourism resources and tourism zone construction work;(5) do the "three breakthrough" related key construction projects;(6) optimize the tourism environment and enhance the quality of tourism services and Panyu ecotourism attraction;(7) strengthen ecotourism safety supervision and management, and the ecological tourism safety and security;(8) strengthenthe construction of tourist information service and improve the tourism informatization;(9)strengthen the propaganda of tourism.
