Study On The Level Of Producer Services Agglomeration And Its Influencing Factorsin Western China

At present, our country is in the critical period of economic and social transformation. Eastern region is the first to adjust the pace of industrial restructuring, and the service industry holds an increasingly important position in national economy. As an innovative and professional service industry with great economy-boosting effect, productive service industry plays a significant role in industrial structure adjustment and economic restructuring, which increasingly draws high attention from developed countries as well as its governments and society. However, in the west of China, the important role of producer service industry in the industrial structure adjustment and economic restructuring has not received much attention. Therefore, based on the study of producer services agglomeration and its impact in western China, this thesis is of great significance in promoting the development level of producer service industry and accelerating the economic and social developmentin the western region of China.This thesis studies the present status of agglomeration of producer services in the western region. First of all, it studies the level of agglomeration of various industries of producer services in the western China. On the whole, the agglomeration level of the five producer service industries is not high in the western region, and the agglomeration level of the main producer services shows the trend of increasing. More specifically, leasing and business services have the highest level of agglomeration, while the financial industry has the lowest level of agglomeration. Secondly, the thesis studies the level of agglomeration of the various industries in various regions, in order to analyze the regions with agglomeration advantages in each industry. Finally, the thesis studies producer services industry as a whole to analyze the level of agglomeration of producer services in different provinces and cities of Western China, in order to study the overall level of agglomeration of producer services in various parts of the country as well as investigate the overall agglomeration trend of producer services in different provinces and cities in westernChina.This thesis also studies and analyzes the influence of producer services agglomeration in the west of China, puts forward the research hypothesis and establishes the empirical model to test the impact of the various factors. The research results show that the agglomeration level of manufacturing industry, urbanization level, education level and the agglomeration level of the lag phase of producer services have a positive effect on producer services agglomeration; the government scale and the level of opening to the outside world is negatively correlated with the productive service agglomeration. At the same time, the thesis also analyzes the function of each factor. Finally, the thesis puts forward the following suggestions: different regions in western China should make different industrial development policies according to the features of their own development, upgrade the level of urbanization, make full use of the advantages of the industrial development in the western region, increase investment in higher education and provide preferential policies for talent, establishing an industrial opening pattern in accordance with the pace of opening up.
