Along with the acceleration of the process of industrialization and urbanization, rural elite talents moved to the city.Lake of agricultural talents hinder the development of modern agriculture. It is very important to choose agricultural talents to develop agriculture. In 2012, the central document No.l is firstly put forward cultivatednew professional farmers. and built a number of highly qualified personnel in rural areas. Compared with the traditional farmers, the new professional farmers should have higher cultural quality, physical quality, political quality,advanced ideas and innovative spirit. The college students who through the higher education, No matter their cultural quality, management quality, technology and innovation ability has become the unique advantages of the new professional farmers. Therefore, we should guide students to become new professional farmer. this way is not only correction of agricultural practitioners low quality, but also to ensure that major initiatives in agriculture has no lack of successors.In this paper, we shall first briefly introduce the human capital theory and behavioral science theory, and then we taking questionnaire survey and interviews to investigate 500 Undergraduatesfrom Shanxi Province. We hypothesis from students' personal characteristics, family factors, social bias factors, policy factors, environment factors in rural areas, the new professional farmers cognitive status which effects on undergraduates' willingness to become new professional farmers. We conducted empirical analysis on undergraduates' willingness to become new professional farmers using the survey data of undergraduates from colleges and universities in Shanxi Province and logistic regression method, and finally the results show that the major factors affecting the undergraduates' willingness to be new professional farmers include gender, majors, support from family, social prejudices, long-term development, the satisfaction of rural environment and national policy as well as the awareness level of new professional farmers.Finally according to the result of the model operation, we proposed the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.that colleges should strengthen employment education to adopt correct outlook of choosing occupation, create a good social atmosphere of public opinion, improve rural production and living environment, increase policy support etc.
