Food safety problem of the catering industry is one of the main cause of food poisoning, so strengthen the supervision of catering industry is of great significance to ensure the life and health of consumers. During the "12th Five-Year", a lot of new products and new modes appeared in the catering industry. In the context of the government has been actively promoting the "Double Creation" and stimulating the concept of "Internet+" and under the background of scientific development and the promotion of the internet application level, the development of O2O in catering industry has been greatly promoted. The internet provide new channels for food business, but there is also quality and safety risk in the promotion of consumption, trade and employment, which brings new challenges to food safety supervision. At present, the three kinds of network food service modes including the third-part platform of online food trading, self-built website, WeChat/weibo and other media platforms have many problems such as lack of credit system, market disorder, low market access threshold, unsound administrative regulations system, violation of consumers' rights and interests, hard to protect consumers' rights and the administrative supervision faces the challenge and so on. Especially, after the food safety hidden trouble in the 2016 network reservation platform was reported, which caused public opinion and public attention. In this regard, the State Food and Drug Administration and the local food and drug supervision and management departments have carried on several measures including the construction of legal system, new special law enforcement and social co-governance and other aspects to response posivitely. In this study, the development course of the catering industry during the "12th Five-Year" period were summarized. Through exploring the cause of the problems of the network catering, a series of suggestions were put forward including the obligation to strengthen and implement the third-party provider of network catering service, clarify the jurisdiction of network catering service, right face the house hutch WeChat and other order mode, detailed regulatory measures and so on, which provide reference to relevant departments on administration regulatory functions and standard the behavior of network catering management.
