Study On G Corporation OMEGA Project Purchasing Management

The rapid development of Chinese automotive market brings lots of opportunities for the whole auto industry within China.And meanwhile a lot of OEMs and their suppliers established global sourcing center in China to deal with the irreversible global economic integration caused challenge and opportunity.The intense competition within the auto industry shortened the development period of product upgrade and caused creation of new technology and new material.The competition strength of technology,quality,cost and delivery for a corporation is partially relying on how well the supplier chain to be.There are 5 sections in the thesis.The first section introduced there were lot of weakness in original project purchasing management process of G Company.And now the process can't catch the step of higher and higher requirement from customer due to the technical and social evolution.So study and improve the project purchasing process to match the customer request is quite urgent in the new situation.The first section also introduced improving the process by process method and work breakdown structure.The second section introduces the theory of process method and purchasing management.Company must try their best to perform good purchasing management to get the biggest profit from it.Emphasize the importance of purchasing management.The third section analyzes the weakness of purchasing management of G Company by process method: the main weakness is the incomplete process and the definition of process owner,input and output is not well.The fourth section introduced the theory and how to put WBS into use firstly.Then apply WBS into G Company project purchasing management to breakdown the details of the process.The final section compared the original project purchasing management process with improved by WBS on the OMEGA project and got effectiveness comparison.This thesis is studying on G Corporation OMEGA project purchasing management,analyzing the weakness of original project purchasing management at the beginning,and then improves the project purchasing management process with process method,project purchasing management theory and WBS method;finally compare the original project purchasing management process with the improved one by applying to suppliers to prove the effectiveness of the improved process can strengthen G Corporation competitiveness.
