The globalization of the fight against terrorism has led to the increasing demand for protective gear in each country.Stab resistant clothing is widely used in public security,special police,industry and other law enforcement officers and security,the driver and other ordinary people have a wide range of applications.Firearms control is strict in China,Officers and soldiers were usually stabbed by knives,Therefore,developed the performance meet the requirements and wear comfortable Stab resistant clothing is very necessary.Consider revising the performance of stab resistant materials.In the first,the material of fabric resin composite was selected.By comparing the performance of the five kinds lab-made resin materials,compare their tensile properties and ductility,determine the polycarbonate resin performance best,polycarbonate resin T22,T23 and aramid woven fabric were composited,the tearing properties and single bundle fiber pulling force of two kinds of reinforced polymer composites were compared.Final determination of the resin used in the test.On the basis of this,the thickness of the resin was optimized.Combined the results of dynamic stab resistant test and static stab resistant test,it was found that the performance of the material was stable with the increase of the thickness when the resin coating amount was 120 g/m2-150g/m2,and the performance of the material would decrease with the increase of the thickness of 180 g/m2.For different composite materials tested,in the case of stab resistant test,it is known that the composite way of the aramid fabric on both sides of the coated resin will get better performance.Based on the preceding studies,the stab-resistant structure was designed and developed through the analysis of stab-resistant processes.The aramid fiber fabrics and aramid fiber reinforced composites were selected as the basic materials,and they were constructed into 3 kinds of stab-resistant structures with the same density and number of layers.The double-layer structure consisted of aramid fabrics layer and composites layer.The sandwich structure consisted of a composites layer between two aramid fabrics layers oan aramid fabrics layer between two composites layers.The mixed structure consisted of two aramid fabrics layers and two composites layers in which several layers were mixed together.The stab resistance tests showed that the sandwich structure reached the GA68-2008 stab resistance standard,while the other two structures did not.Therefore,the sandwich structure was selected.The fracture surfaces of composite targets with different structures were examined using scanning electron microscopy.the composites and aramid fabrics presented different fracture surface morphologies.The fracture of aramid reinforced composites usually exhibited a shearing failure characteristic,while the fracture of aramid fabrics usually presented a tensile failure characteristic.Through the analysis of stab-resistant processes,the stab-resistant mechanisms of composites and stab-resistant structures were explored,and the stab-resistant models of different structures were established.
