With the continuous progress of concept about the smart grid,Intelligent distribution network is also moving in the direction of intelligence.With the increase of electricity consumption and scale,in order to meet the power quality requirement of distribution network,improve the efficiency of distribution network operation and management,the concept of intelligent distribution network is needed to be promoted actively.Because the distribution network is not concentratedly distributed,and it covers a wide area,the operational status can not be managed centrally,and with the fault occurring frequently,a high demand of its operation and maintenance is setted.With the development of current communications technology and intelligent electronic equipment manufacturing technology,there has been a lot of distribution automation technology about network based on data and information of network,meanwhile,the information technological means is also used in feeder automation widely,then brings on a intelligent distributed technology about feeder automation.With the development of the technology about feeder automation,the concept about networking is developed continuously,which makes higher requirements about the ability of sharing information on network.In order to conformwith the requirement,we must continue to develop exchange technology about data on network.In order to meet above requirements,the paper studies on the problem about WAN information exchange in feeder automation technology.Aiming at this question,the paper proposes solutions about WAN information exchange which bases on IEC 61850 standard communication protocol.First of all,this paper analyses the network topology of feeder automation systems and IEC 61850 communication system.For the specific network structure,built a system model of communication and creats a virtual model which is based on IEC 61850 IED modeling standards.In order to verify the effectiveness of system and model,independently programed a simple IEC 61850 communication protocol stack,on this basis,used modeling software IEDScout and client software IEDModeler conformed to the IEC 61850 standardto test their effectiveness of system and models,and used the system protocol stack to test actual physical connection,verifying whether the program meets the requirement of the actual operation.The conclusion is that the program can meet the requirements,but it needs to satisfy certain constraints:the processing speed of distribution terminal should be fast and the processing time should be minimized in order to meet the time constraint of fault process.
