Over the last decades,urban rail transit has become one of the major means of transportation in modern cities because of its advantage and its development has been booming in urban China with the arrival of 13th Five Year Plan.Healthy equipment system is the basis and prerequisite for operating security of urban rail transit.Therefore,it is a significant issue of the urban rail transit to make risk assessment of equipment factor of urban rail transit and to improve the security of equipment system.In this paper,first,development of urban rail transit in china was presented.Then the distribution of levels and types of operation accident in urban rail transit was investigated based on the statistical analysis of domestic and international urban rail transit accidents.Reasons for failures of equipment system of urban rail transit were studied in detail by referring to literature and doing field research.Then,after consulting experts by questionnaire,each risk factor of equipment system of urban rail transit was identified and index values of every risk factor were obtained.Risk factors with a large index value were filtered out and selected as index of risk assessment of equipment system of urban rail transit,thus 4 second-grade indexes were obtained:vehicle system failure,electromechanical system failure,power supply system failure and communication signal system failure.In addition,15 third-grade indexes were obtained as follows:car body system failure,traction system failure,vehicle traveling unit failure,wind regime for brake system failure,main substation failure,tractive power supply system failure,power lighting power supply system failure,automatic elevators and escalators system failure,platform screen doors and flood gate system failure,BAS failure,communication system failure,transmit system failure,ATS,ATO and ATP failure.Example analysis was carried out based on urban rail transit in a city.Risk assessment model of urban rail transit equipment factor was established using Structural Equation Modeling.The model was calculated by AMOS21 software in order to obtain inherent link between all grades of risk indexes.The effect of second-grade indexes on operating security differs.Objectivity and feasibility of this assessment index system were validated.Finally,based on research above,from macroscopic perspective,classification management of equipment system in urban rail transit was proposed is according to different levels of risk of latent variables in equipment system.From microcosmic perspective,RAMS management system of urban rail transit equipment was established and corresponding management measures were proposed based on RAMS theory.
