Objective:To investigate the effect of cluster needling of scalp acupuncture on the expression of microtubule-associated protein2(MAP-2) and synapsin(Syp) around the infarct focus in rats after cerebral infarction, and to explore the molecular mechanism of cluster scalp acupuncture on poststroke neuronal plasticity by protein level.Methods:15Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham-operation group, model group and cluster needling group;the focal ischemia rats models were made by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) with monofilament(improved Zea-longa Method),the rats in cluster needling group were treated with cluster scalp acupuncture everyday, covering the parietal region, needles retained for30minutes;implement the Bederson Evaluation on the2nd hour,the7th and14th day post the surgery;collect the brains on the14th day and exam the expression of MAP-2and Syp around the infarct focus by protein anti-body microarray. Results:The behavior evaluation on the7th and14th day in the cluster needling group were significantly improved than the model group(P<0.05);on the14th day the MAP-2expression of the acupuncture group were significantly enhanced compared to the model group(P<0.05) and higher than the sham-operation group;the expression of Syp in the cluster needling group were higher than the model group and lower than the sham-operation group, while none of the differences among the three groups was statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:The cluster needling of scalp acupuncture can improve the recovery of motor function for cerebral infaction rats, enhance the expression of MAP-2and (maybe)Syp around the infarct focus, and promote the neuronal plasticity in fine.
