Chinese neologisms play an indispensible role in Chinese lexicon system which occupies animportant position in language teaching, reflecting the details of social changes and developmentto some extent and providing information of contemporary China for Chinese learners. Therefore,Chinese neologisms should be attached much importance in TCFL (Teaching Chinese as ForeignLanguage). However, in spite of the comprehensive essence research of neologisms, study onneologisms in TCFL has not been paid enough attention, neither have the teaching and learningof neologisms. Therefore, neologisms in TCFL are worth a further study. This thesis is devotedto put forward efficient teaching strategies and methods on the basis of analyzing the relationshipbetween Chinese neologisms and TCFL, drawing on precious experience of predecessors.The thesis is composed of four parts.Part1, as introduction, analyzes the research status of Chinese neologisms from two aspects,namely, the essence research status of neologisms and the status of study on neologisms inTCFL.Part2analyzes the importance of neologisms in TCFL and problems in neologisms teachingin TCFL.Part3puts forward neologisms teaching strategies and methods according to the importanceof neologisms in TCFL and the problems existed in neologisms teaching.Part4makes the conclusion of the content of this thesis. Meanwhile, it sums up theshortcomings of this thesis.It is concluded that this thesis is devoted to put forward neologisms teaching strategies andmethods on the basis of the study on the relationship between neologisms and TCFL, in hope ofbeing helpful to the study and practice of neologisms teaching in TCFL.
