Prosocial behavior is a kind of positive and significant good social behavior,which can be beneficial to the behavior.Junior middle school students in adolescence are undergoing some tremendous changes physically and psychologically, when the outlook on life and values are developed.Study on the development and its influencing factors of adolescents' prosocial behavior is conducive to cultivating and improving adolescents' prosocial behavior, and promoting the healthy development of their body and mind. Shyness is a frequent mood existing in interpersonal relationship.However, excessive shyness will generate negative emotions of anxiety,stress and pain,which is negative to the individual's development and adjustment.In contrast, empathy is into the thought of others,to see the emotions of others at the same time,to understand the feelings in others' shoes.Based on the study of the relationship among shyness,empathy and prosocial behavior,suggestions are put forward which is useful for developing adolescent children's prosocial behavior and promoting their good characters in educational practice.This research selects 1200 junior high school students of Jinan as subjects,and studies the relationship between shyness,empathy and prosocial behavior in middle school students by using junior high school students Shyness Scale,prosocial tendencies measuring scale and IRI empathy for multi dimension table to study. The conclusions of the study are as follows:1. The junior middle school students' prosocial behavior is in the middle level.Anonymous Prosocial behavior dimensions grade difference is significant, grade nine subjects score lower than that of grade eight subjects;emotional prosocial behavior and altruistic prosocial behavior are linked with genders, that is, girls score higher than boys.2. The junior school students' shyness is at a medium level. In the face of opposite sex shyness, the students of grade one are higher than those grade two;in the face of negative evaluation,there are significant gender differences and of shyness dimensions,scores of girls are higher than boys. There were significant gender differences in the face of the opposite sex shyness, boys scored higher than girls.3. The junior school students' empathy belongs to the medium to high level. The difference of perspective taking dimension grade test scores significantly higher than that of the first grade; there exists gender differences on imagination, empathic concern and personal distress dimensions, the scores of boys are lower than those of girls.4. The relevant researches have shown that there was no significant correlation between the scores of shyness and prosocial behavior,the humble timidness and each dimension of prosocial behavior show significant positive correlation; shyness of self-expression has insignificant relation with anonymous prosocial behavior, but it is positively associated with the other five dimensions. Empathy and prosocial behavior is significantly positively related.5. Empathy has mediating effects between shyness of self-expression and for junior middle school students, which may also have the same effect on humble shyness and prosocial behavior(the interaction effect of humble shyness and empathy to prosocial behavior should be marginal significant),The future need to be further confirmed.
