Study On Huang Zongxi's Poetic Thoughts

Huang Zongxi is a famous ideologist, politician and historian in our academic circle, but compared with his philosophy theories, political thoughts and historical ideas, his critiques are scattered and has not formed a complete system. Based on the exiting achievements of the research of Huang's literary theories, this paper is aimed at summarizing these scattered literary materials especially poetic materials to form a complete and intact system avoiding just list materials. This is what my thesis focuses on. In this paper,I make a systematic combining of Huang's poetry and fill in vacancies which previous researcher do not concentrate on.And this research is under the background of dynasty changes, this is the innovation of my thesis.This paper focuses on researching Huang's poetry theory and proving by Huang's own poems. There are four aspects of thoughts of Huang's poetry. The first point is to criticize the problems of the poetry theories in Ming dynasty and point out new viewpoints. The second point is about and the nature and disposition in Huang's poetry. In my paper, I find Huang classified traditional dispositions and combined our dispositions with our nation and people. Thirdly, Huang explained again some ancient Chinese poetry concepts and expanded the connotations of these concepts, especially amended some incorrect concepts about dispositions. Huang have making these new concepts escape from the bind of some conservative and inaccurate poetry theories, and having paving the road for the development of disposition concerning our nation and people. Fourthly, Huang believed that poems have the function of recording history. Huang is the first people who clearly put forward this idea. He hoped the poems can record the changes in history and record the history of people fighting against invaders which were outrage dominators. This history may distort by some historian serving for Qing dynasty. Finally, I want to combine the theories with practice to research the reflection of Huang's poetry theories in his own poems and make a further certification of the value of Huang's poetry theories, especially the value of his new ideas of disposition.
