One basic feature of Chinese grammar is that has rich and complex quantifiers.Measure word is an important part of Chinese grammar teaching and it is also one of the difficulties in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.For international students,the difficulty lies in the large number of quantifiers and complex combination of noun or verb noun collocation.In spite of this,quantifiers have strong application regularity.The outstanding performance of this kind of regularity is the collocation of quantifiers and related grammatical components has semantic motivation,specifically,is that noun or verb phrases has restriction to quantifiers from semantic respect,and the choice of constraints is some semantic features of the semantic structure of noun or verb phrases.For international students,although Chinese has notable difference to their mother languages in pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar these language forms,but the "selection restriction" between words is undoubtedly the semantic common mechanism to different languages.From this point of view,it is more possible to explore teaching methods to solve the problem that quantifiers are hard to teach and learn from semantic level.Based on this consideration,the paper attempts to use semantic structure analysis method and selection restriction of word combination theory to explore semantic motivations of quantifiers,especially the collocation borrowed quantifiers and put forward some suggestions on the basis of theoretical analysis of quantifiers teaching,hoping to be useful to the quantifiers teaching in TCFL.The paper is divided into six parts,respectively:The introduction explains the methods and significance of this paper,reviews the existing literature,and classify the quantifiers.The first chapter discusses international students error prone and the major reasons of errors in quantifiers learning process.The causes of errors are not only because of students,but also teachers.The second chapter is the analysis of semantic structure and collection relations of quantifiers,nouns and verbs.Applying semantic structure analysis method selection restriction of word combination theory,to explore semantic motivation of borrowed quantifiers collection and the matching relationship between special quantifiers and nouns and special-purpose verb quantifiers and verbs,and establish word groups to help students master the quantifiers and nouns and verb collocation.The third chapter is the color analysis of quantifiers.The paper argues that lexical meaning reflects rational cognition of objective things;additional meaning reflects people's subjective feelings and subjective evaluation.The significance of this kind of evaluation is vocabulary's additional meaning,the additional meaning of quantifiers can be divided into three main types: image color,emotional color and style color.The fourth chapter is the teaching countermeasures and suggestions.Based on the previous semantic structure analysis,selection restriction theory and color meaning of quantifiers,the paper put forward relevant teaching countermeasures and suggestions.The last part is the conclusion.Summarizes the research contents of the paper and state the study conclusion again.
