Latin dance as a form of exercise in combination with s port and art, has a rapid development since the 1980 s introduced into China,and until now the development direction of Latin dance has formed three mai n lines, competition, performance and social. The purpose of the practitioners appeared a variety of demand aspects, such like athletic, teaching, fitness, sha pe and social. Quantity influences quality, sports load difference will have dif ferent impact on the effects of exercise. This study through the 20 amateur L atin dance practitioners and 20 professional practitioners in bronze and gold medal demanding to carry on the data collection and analysis of heart rate d uring their exercising, and the comparison experiment has processed between dif ferent level practitioners in the same difficulty routines and the same level pr actitioners in the different difficulty routines,and then obtain the load differe nce between non-professional practitioners for the purpose of shape, fitness an d professional practitioners in teaching, competition. In load intensity of bronz e routine, professional Latin dance practitioners have to attain the strength of the aerobic exercise intensity in addition to the load intensity of Rumba, oth er four dance belong to the range of 75%- 85% of HRmax; in the five dan ce practice for amateur Latin dance practitioners, the quick tempo dance such like Samba, Cha-Cha and Jive, their heart rate load are between 60%- 70%of HRmax. Yet Rumba and the Paso Doble are outside this range; in load i ntensity of gold routine for professional Latin dance practitioners, except the l oad intensity of Rumba, other four dance sport load intensity are more than t he range of 75%- 85% of HRmax. The main reasons for load difference ha ve mastering skills, technical style, footwork difficulty and so on. In view of the controls of load intensity during practice between the non-professional pr actitioners and professional practitioners, some suggestions are put forward.
