The Translation And Research Of Duras's Works In China

Translation and presentation of the works of Marguerite Duras (1914-1996) in China was started from the seventies and eighties in the last century. During the thirty years, studies on Marguerite Duras remain hot research topics. Translations and presentations on the works of Marguerite Duras from translators, researches and commentaries on the works of Marguerite Duras from translators and writers, and enthusiasm of the readers for Duras do not diminish over time. Since the seventies and eighties in the last century, translation, presentation, and research works on Marguerite Duras's writings have been continuing, and many excellent translations of the works of Marguerite Duras came out in China.Though there are a large quantity of translation works and presentations of Duras' writings in China, analysis on them and collation of them is still relatively scarce. So this thesis aims to collate and analyze the translations, the presentations and research works on the writings of Marguerite Duras in China.According to the analysis on the translations, the presentations, and researches, some conclusions can be made. They are listed as follows:the translation of The Lover is an apex of the translations of the works of Duras, the version of The Lover translated by Wang Daoqian will be reissued endlessly, and The Lover is always a research hot spot. Then the life, the translation features and the views on translation of Wang Daoqian are analyzed, respectively. Based on the comparison of languages and styles of eight versions of The Lover, we conclude that the version of The Lover translated by Wang Daoqian is considered as a model translated literature.
