The aviation attendants have a very high requirement for emotional management ability because of the special nature of their work. So colleges should not only pay attention to the training of professional skills of aviation services majors, but also attach importance to cultivating their emotional management ability. In this paper, group counseling and course training are used to improve the ability of emotional management for aviation services majors. It has important theoretical and practical significance.With the design of before and after measurement in different groups and tracking measurement, the study takes the object of 92 college students in a college of Wuxi and divides them into counseling group, course training group and control group. The counseling group received 10 times, a total of 20 hours of group counseling treatment, course training group received 10 times, a total of 15 hours of course training treatment, and control group received no treatment. According to the divergence of the pretest, the posttest and the follow-up test scores in the "Emotional Management Questionnaire" (EMQ) to measure the research results. The results show that:1. Group counseling had effect on the improvement of emotional management of college students. It improved members'ability of rational regulation, controlling the negative emotion, seeking external support capabilities and active remediation capabilities, but it didn't show significant improvement on ability of controlling the negative suggestion.2. Course training had effect on improvement of emotional management of college students. It improved students'ability of rational regulation and controlling the negative emotion, but it didn't show significant improvement on seeking external support capabilities, controlling the negative suggestion and active remediation capabilities indicating the design of teaching intervention needs to be improved in these areas.3. Group counseling treatment was more efficient than course training in training emotional management ability which indicating group counseling is a more efficient method of intervention.4. After 3 months, the scores of group counseling treatment in EMQ have no significant between posttest test and follow-up test indicating a good aftereffect of group counseling.5. After 3 months, the scores of course training group in EMQ have no significant between posttest test and follow-up test indicating a good aftereffect of course training.
