Zhang Cang, A Witness To A Hundred Years Of Historical Change

Zhang Cang’s life experienced Zhou,Qin and Han dynasties.Limited by the historical data,there is not much research on Zhang Cang.And if we put him in the late Warring States period to the early Western Han Dynasty over the past hundred years of historical changes in the background to observe and study,Zhang Cang’s experiences,to some extent,reflect the whole political Ecology from Zhou,Qin Dynasty to Han Dynasty.This paper revolves around the hundred years of Zhang Cang.It shows the system evolution of times from the Warring States to Qin and Han through Combing Zhang Cang’s official experience.Through the analysis of the achievements of Confucian classics and calendar and temperament,it studies outstanding contribution of cultural heritage in the period.Zhang Cang served as Column censor,the Prime Minister of state,controller,imperial censor,and the prime minister,which made his official career for half a century and what he experienced allow us to look at the bureaucracy and political ecology of this era.The early Western Han Dynasty,many delayed things waiting to be set up,rely on meritorious statesman and zigzag the princes to consolidate the rule,and in the benefits of fiefs,reputation,rank of nobility and its salary,but also greatly strengthened the ruling group internal unity.To the Emperor Wen period,the Western Han Dynasty has been established for more than and 20 years.The system of personnel selecting and employing in Han Dynasty developed from the random to steady and orderly.He served as Prime Minister of the early Han to reflect less grandiose and simpler politics still continue.Zhang Cang,as a scholar of the era,with his own cultural attainments,smoothed the cultural trauma from Zhou,Qin to Han Dynasty.In the cultural heritage,he served as a connecting link in the inheritance of Zuozhuan.At the beginning of Han Dynasty,he determined the legal calendar and editing regulations,to promote the rapid economic recovery and development in the early Han dynasty.Although Zhang Cang finally because of "Five Elements Circulation Theory" caused by the political struggle out of office,but it can not shake his important position in the field of culture in early Han dynasty.Zhou,Qin and Han Dynasty,there are many systems evolution;changes caused by the accumulation of whirling bureaucracy,the changes can be seen from clue of censor.The records of the later generations to Zhang Cang tombs are the reflection of the later ideology,which reflects the recognition of Zhang Cang’s image.All in all,put Zhang Cang life under the background of the great changes from Zhou Qin to Han Dynasty,then the political change and cultural heritage in this period can be seen from the political trajectory of Zhang’s life.
