Japanese-English And Its Coping Strategies In Interpretation

In E-C interpreting,speakers from non-English-speaking countries usually have accent when they speak English because of the effect by their mother tongue.We usually call this accent foreign accent or foreign talk.Speaker's nonstandard pronunciation often triggers interpreting problems,affects interpreting quality and brings difficulties to the interpreter such as listening obstacles and energy distraction.This paper chooses English with Japanese accent as an example to analyze the reason how “Japlish” generated and explore the differences between Japanese and English,the author wants to find the pronunciation features of Japan English pronunciation.In the last of the paper,the author also tries to search several related materials and does simulation practices in order to solve the certain difficulties which interpreters will encounter during interpreting process.It is hoped that these strategies can help interpreters to cope with the Japan-style-English in E-C interpreting task,and also can provide a reference for Japanese learners to practise the standard English pronunciation.
