Writing practice bamboo slips in Jianshuijin Pass,as part of new bamboo slips of HanDynasty,was the real writing of the schoolchildren or officials practicing writing in thenorthwest frontier of the Han Dynasty.Its contents include the writing,dictionary,branches and single parts,reflecting the writing practice behavior to make the writingmore standardized,skilled and beautiful.It can be said that writing practice is needed inany age and any country after the emergence of characters,as long as the characters arewritten by hands.This paper summarized 682 chronological slips in the 11000 bambooslips of Han Dynasty in the chronological order,and found that it lasted for nearly 200years from the seventh years in Emperor Zhaodi of Western Han Dynasty(86 BC)to thefirst year in Emperor Hedi of early Eastern Han Dynasty(AD 105).And then combinedwith the pit,number,chirography and writing style,163 writing practice bamboo slips inJianshuijin Pass with clear ink marks were divided in the chronological order,and foundthat the writing practice bamboo slips almost penetrate throughout the dynasties.From theperspective of chirography,regardless of the seal character,official script and grasswriting,the chirography is further improved and developed.From the perspective ofwriting practice method,in addition to official script and grass writing that are writtenstep by step to be proficient in its common writing,it also reflects the different finishingmethod of the same Chinese characters and learning method of drawing inferences.It isbelieved that the study on chirography and writing practice method can inspire thelearning and creation of contemporary calligraphy.
