Research On The Non-terminology Phenomenon Of Medical Terminology In Russian Newspapers And Periodicals

The determinologization of medical terminologies means that the medical terminology is applied to other fields.The medical terminology is not limited to a specific medical field any more.On the other hand,breaking through the medical field,it enters into other professional fields.Meanwhile,the specific meaning originally applied to medical objects are deduced to others.The determinologization of medical terminologies can be divided into three phases: the literal meaning of medical terminologies,the transferred meaning of medical terminologies and the secondary-terminologization of medical terminologies.This thesis conducts an analysis on the phenomena of the determinologization of medical terminologies based on the corpus of Russian journal.This thesis takes Russian journals as analytical corpus because Russian journals,as one of the mass media,reflects various aspects of Russian politics,economy and social life.The language feature of the journal also creates favorable conditions for the study of the determinologization of medical terminologies.Through the study and discussion of the determinologization of medical terminologies occured in journals,the author will have a systematic understanding of this language phenomenon--the determinologization of medical terminologies,and provide reference to the future termonology study.
