The Application Of Information Supplementation Strategy In The Practice Of Simultaneous Interpretation Simulation

With the popularity of electronic products,new product launches of electronic products have gained more and more attention,especially that of the young people.The simultaneous interpretation of electronic new product launches brings a great challenge to interpreters,while omission of information is the common problem in these simultaneous interpretation practices.Guided by Skopos Theory,using electronic new products launches as corpus,the author analyzes the omission phenomenon and also proposes several strategies for supplement.All the examples in this thesis are the real analog simultaneous interpretation practices of the author.From objective elements to subjective reasons,namely,from information-heavy speeches to “imperfect” interpreters,the author makes a summary for omission phenomenon.In accordance with three principles of Skopos Theory,that is,skopos rule,coherence rule,and fidelity rule,the author has proposed related strategies as supplement,such as postponing,replacing repeated information,using conjunctions in line with internal logical relations,adding remedial words or explanations,integration and etc.The author hopes these strategies could provide more references for the author herself and others in their later interpretation practices.
