As an approach to Chinese painting,teaching manuscript paintings have the function of inheriting the master's craft and also embody the teaching idea and the traditional Chinese painting idea.Moreover,it serve as an effective information to study the influence of the professor's work.However,the current research on the subject is still lack of attention,especially in the Ming and Qing dynasties,after the modern art education system,although the teaching manuscript paintings in the academies of the 20 th century have a strong influence on the paintings both at the same era and beyond it.In this article,the teaching manuscript paintings of Lu Yanshao,the professor of Zhejiang Academy of Art,now be known an China Academy of Art,will be took as research subjects.And the different versions of the teaching manuscript paintings from different periods will be combed.The characteristics and advantages of this paintings will be found by comparing they to other teaching manuscript paintings at the same era.Analyzing contents and forms of Lu's teaching manuscript paintings,digging its connotation and value and exploring the teaching ideas of Lu's from these manuscript paintings by combine with Lu's painting theory,so as to understanding the landscape painting teaching situation at that era,and making further efforts on Lu's teaching manuscript paintings' impact of the field of Chinese painting.
