On The Use Of Musical Elements Of Local Folk Songs In Wuyin Opera

Many local China operas were first developed based on folk songs.There is no exception with wuyinxi as local opera.It is rooted in Zibo and has a long history and profound cultural foundation.As a special local opera,wuyinxi is known as the "northern opera" with its rich characters of life,vivid and humorous language,spoken of lyrics,simple and exquisite performance and melodic sounds.This paper is divided into four parts: introduction,the overview of wuyinxi in the first chapter,the application of local folk songs’ element in wuyinxi and the epilogue.The second chapter is the key of this paper.The introduction roughly presents that wuyinxi is an old hometown opera rooted in Zibo and puts forward the purpose and meaning of this paper.The first chapter firstly introduces the origin of wuyinxi and its historical evolution.Wuyinxi is originated from folk,spread in folk and influenced by local folk customs,which has a close relationship with local folk art.In the second chapter,the application of music element in local folk song are analyzed chiefly based on pop the revolution process of wuyinxi.The paper find out the close relationship between wuyinxi and the local folk songs by listing the following examples: the folk song “Mo Dou Ge” is applicated as the main theme in wuyinxi repertoire “Guai Mo Zi”;the melody of the folk song “Yi Meng Shan Xiao Diao” is changed and applied in the wuyinxi “La Ba Jie”;wuyinxi “Zi Feng”borrows ideas from the tune of Zibo folk chanson “Gan Niu Shan”;wuyinxi “Qiao nv” and “Qiang Tou Ji” applicates many pop in Pu culture of Zibo,which finds out the close relationship between wuyinxi and local folk songs and tries to expose many application of folk music element by contrasting spectrum.In order to prove the melody of wuyinxi has the characters of folk songs and that is influenced by the local customs and oral language,it also lists plenty of colloquial libretto with profound local characters.In the epilogue,it analysis the reason why wuyinxi is popular in the local place and put forward how to protect,inherit and develop wuyinxi as the non-material cultural heritage.
