Wang Yun (1748-1819), her literary name is Songping. She comes from Shanxi Chang'an County (now belongs to Shanxi). She is a female dramatist in the mid leaf of Qing Dynasty. This paper will research into her family background, lifetime,friendships and works; probe into her opera theories; and analyze and summarize the ideological content,artistry and epochal character of her works. FanHuaMeng and QuanFuJi.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter will research into Wang Yun from five aspects, family background, lifetime, friendships, works and opera theories. In the study of her family, the author finds that her grandfather's grandfather,Wangping, who joined the army, has a very important effect on the integral conception of QuanFuJi, about this point, no one has put forward any ideas before. In the study of her lifetime and friendships, the author does a systematic study of her relevant relatives together with the opera actors and pupils who have a connection with her. In the study of her works, the author corrects some mistakes of recordation,which left by predecessors.The second chapter is the study of the thought content of Wang Yun's operas. The author begins with the text of FanHuaMeng and QuanFuJi in combination with her family background, lifetime, opera thoughts as well as the historical background, then probe into the feelings about Wu and Yue area, the sigh of life and the times in her works.The third chapter is the study of artistic achievement of Wang Yun's operas. Based on the development of the opera, the author longitudinally analyzes Wang Yun's artistic achievement, and explores the inheritance of the pre-generation opera system,new characteristics of opera and innovation in the aspects of artistic conception and music system.The forth chapter is a comparative study of Wang Yun's operas and other related works. The author compares Wang Yun's works with other works of similar themes in order to explore the time significance and limitations of her works, last but not least,the author looks forwards to finding the accurate position of her works in the history of opera.
