The era of boundaryless career is beginning, in order to assist students conform the complex environment and increasing the employment rate and quality, most universities start-up the career guiding courses which lead to an ideal outcome.Therefore the courses aroused the concern of both high school educators and relevant departments. The high school students and their parents show strong demand for the courses. The core aim of the career guiding courses is to improve individual’s career maturity, which means the extent for individual being ready to cope with career development tasks appropriate to his/her age by useful information. At present, the empirical research of career maturity in China is still in the early stage, most researches concentrate on the university students or enterprise staffs. It would be a tendency for investigating high school students’ career maturity.This dissertation contains these main contents: 1) to explore and confirm the constructs of career maturity, emotional intelligence and learning process; 2) to describe the scoring distribution of high school students on every dimension of the three variables; 3) to verify the supposed model about the relationship of career maturity, emotional intelligence and learning process, including the mediating role of emotional intelligence on the relationship of career maturity and every dimension of learning process.727 high school students from three areas of Jiangsu province were invited to finish a questionnaire, then the data were collected and analyzed by office excel,SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 19.0, some analysis methods were used as item analysis, factor analysis, correlations, analysis of variance, MANOVA, path analysis. The main findings are as follows:1) the revised form of career maturity inventory could be used in Chinese high school because of the good reliability and validity.2) career maturity is consist of career confidence, career concern and career curiosity; emotional intelligence is consist of the appraisal of self-emotional, the regulation of self-emotional, the use of self-regulation and the appraisal of others-emotional; learning process is consist of surface motivation, deep motivation,achievement motivation, surface strategy, deep strategy, and achievement strategy.3) Some demographic and organizational variables have significant main effect on career maturity, emotional intelligence and learning process.4) career maturity, emotional intelligence and every dimension of learning process are correlated pairwise, and emotional intelligence have significant mediating effect on the relationship between career maturity and DS/DM/AS/AM.
