As a kind of uncertain decision-making, risk decision-making has been paid lots of attention by researchers. With the evolution from absolute rationality to bounded rationality and ecological rationality, risk decision-making experienced three paradigms including standardization, descriptive and evolution. Achievement motivation,as an internal trait, its impact on risk decision-making has also been a focus of researchers.Achievement motivation can be divided into two dimensions: pursuing success and avoiding failure. One's decision is the result of the coordination of these two tendencies. In reality, decision-making is always under the certain social role. The essence of the role is the behavior pattern expected or required by a social norm. Then, under the special circumstances of risk decision making, it is more realistic to study the difference between social roles. In this study, 417 students were tested by AMS, then the risk decision-making tendency of the subjects was studied by two tasks under different risk, combining the perspective of social role. Conclusions are as follows:(1) Achievement motivation can predict the tendency of risk decision-making significantly. Higher achievement motivation is more likely to take risk than the lower;(2) There is a significant difference in the tendency of risk decision-making between different risk levels, the higher the degree of risk is, one is more inclined to avoid risk;(3) The tendency of risk decision-making of high and low achievement motivation in different risk level is different significantly. In the higher risk level, one with lower achievement motivation is more inclined to avoid risk. And the influence from degree of risk is stronger under the higher achievement motivation;(4) Social role has a moderating effect on the relationship between achievement motivation and the tendency of risk decision-making. Higher achievement motivation predicts more likely to risk. And the influence from achievement motivation is stronger under the leader than general member;(5) Social role has a moderating effect on the relationship between the degree of risk and the tendency of risk decision-making. Lower degree of risk predicts more likely to risk. And the influence from degree of risk is stronger under the general member than leader.
