Analysis Of The Development And Evolution Of The Chinese Painting Orchid Snack Method

This paper aims to discuss the Chinese orchid "xin" character brush dotting method all previous dynasties,to explore the characteristics of the dotting and its development.At first,to introduce the history of the Chinese orchid painting's development.Secondly,to analyze the characteristics of the early dotting method.Thirdly,to explore the emerging of the stylized orchid painting in Late-Ming Dynasty,and then to follow up the stylized dotting features of the times from then on.Finally,according to my own painting practice,to share some thoughts in the discussion.Through the study of this topic,the Song-Yuan Dynasty dotting was in a realistic way for the orchid "xin" character painting,attached importance to the observation on the object and sketch,with a wide variety of the expression techniques and reach a high level.In the Yuan Dynasty,the Literati Painting style of the freehand orchid painting started to become mainstream.In the Ming Dynasty,based on inheriting the Song-Yuan Dynasties tradition,the freehand painting was developed to Literati Painting in ink-wash which did not demand the shape of the impressionistic style.At the end of the Ming Dynasty,the stylized language of "xin" character brush dotting method was created.In addition,the prevailing of Huapu also promoted the orchid painting into stylized painting in a way.From Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China,the artist pursued individuality,attached importance to ancient division but not rigidly adhere to the ancients,emphasized the study of nature outside without stylized-painting constraints,the freehand brushwork of orchid styles was played most vividly.Correspondingly,the "xin" character brush dotting method of the orchid also reflected the development and evolution,from the attention to the observation on the object and sketch,realistic painting,to the direction of freehand brushwork of Literati Painting with individuality.In meanwhile,reflected the results of the artist "Study Nature outside,Catch Source Inside".
