The Application Of Plywood In The Creation Of Modern Sculptures

The main research direction of this thesis is based on the application of plywood in sculpture,and explores from the aspects of wood,application of adhesive,bonding technology,structure combination and modeling.The full text is divided into four chapters.Through the collection of real objects,reading relevant literature and creative practice,detailed analysis of the significance of plywood sculpture as well as its impact on modern sculpture is studied.Through the development and transformation process of plywood,in-depth organization about today's international development of plywood in sculpture is presented.In the level of craft-making,techniques of bonding and sticking and the characteristics of plywood sculpture are elaborated.Through experiments and studying miniatures,technical requirements such as water resistance,heat resistance and abrasion resistance in the use of plywood and adhesives as well as the characteristics in modeling are mastered.The preservation methods of plywood in indoor and outdoor environment are also explored.Finally,three series of creative artworks are studied as a conclusion to prove the feasibility of plywood in sculpture creation,showing the charm and manifestation of plywood sculpture.
