The Modern Repercussions Of Chinese Classical Criticism In The First Half Of The 20th Century

Review the current research of stylistics focus on case studies and literary history,lacking of overall theoretical grasp.Moreover,the research on modern critical style is far inferior to the study of literary criticism on ancient China.Therefore,this article attempts from the form,the system and the style of criticism to research the study of Chinese classical criticism's continuation and development in the first half of the 20 th century which is in the collision between tradition and modernity.The thesis is divided into four chapters.The first three chapters discuss the preface and postscript criticism,epistolary criticism and the poetic criticism.After a long history of development,they still exist in the first half of 20 th Century.In this period,the preface and postscript was still important in the criticism field.They continued the randomness,the narrative and argumentative of traditional criticism.At the same time,it is full of lyric color and personality characteristics.Epistolary criticism is inclusive and truth as traditional criticism.The poetic essay which was named in the Song Dynasty is not mainstream literary criticism in this period,but not completely disappearing,the narration of the content and the arbitrariness of the form is the same as the traditional criticism.Of course,these critical styles are inevitably affected by the new age,which is mainly reflected in the content of the Times.The fourth chapter discusses the stylistic and stylistic features of Chinese classical criticism.The first half of the 20 th Century was influenced by western logical discourse,a trend of rationalization of critical style,but the criticism method of image criticism and the strong literary,high concentration and generality of criticism style still exist in the literary criticism.It is worth our attention.
