The Study Of The South Of Henan Province From The Perspective Of Life Culture

Opera of Kitchen King rises in Gushi County,Henan Province.It prevail in the south of Henan Province as a typical minor folk opera,and it was listed as the provincial intangible cultural heritage of Henan Province in March 2007.It sings the story between Kitchen King and his wife,hence its name “Opera of Kitchen King”.It has been more than 100 years since it came into being in the late Qing Dynasty.With the development of the times,as many endangered intangible cultural heritage,the opera start to fade out people's life gradually,facing the crisis of inheritance and development.This paper relies on document literature and field Investigation,make a comprehensive exposition of opera of Kitchen King,analyzes the folklore function and value about the opera from the angle of living culture,and put forward my own views and suggestions for the problem of opera's inheritance and development.The first two chapters of this paper are introduced the basic outline about opera of Kitchen King,its traditional performance and folk custom function.The third chapter summarize the traditional values about opera of Kitchen King.In the last chapter,the author analyzes the dilemma faced by the development of the opera and puts forward my own suggestions for those problems.
