From The Parallel Phrase To The Evolution Of Two-syllable Adverbs

Parataxis is a more important type of word formation in Chinese compound words.The double syllable adverbs evolved from coordinate phrases occupy a very important position in the whole adverbs,but their systematic research are still relatively few.This paper mainly describes the formation and evolution of disyllabic adverbs evolved from the collocated phrase from the diachronic and synchronic perspectives.On this basis,it summarizes the formation characteristics,evolvement rules and mechanisms of the coordinate disyllabic adverbs.This paper has seven chapters.Chapter one is the introduction of the paper.It summarizes the study object,purpose and significance,and gives a comprehensive introduction and summarization on the related research phenomenon,and then indicate the study methods and corpus.Chapter two studies the disyllabic adverbs evolved from the adverbial coordinate phrase.The larger number of such adverbs,both from two morphemes evolved into monosyllabic adverbs,and then coordinate use as an adverb.In this chapter,we select"Wei Shi(??)"and"Wu Bi(??)"as the research objects,which our predecessors have not studied,and conduct a detailed study of their evolution processes.Chapter three describes the disyllabic adverbs that comes from the adjective coordinate phrase.There are a lot of these adverbs,that both are the coordinate phrase coagulated,and then grammaticalization into the disyllabic adverbs.This chapter analyzes in detail the process of the lexicalization of words"Da Xiao(??)"and"Zhen Zheng(??)"and its development.It simply explores the competition between inverse morphemes words"Da Xiao(??)"and"Xiao Da(??)".It also reveals the adverbialization mechanism of�Zhen Zheng(??)�.Chapter four focuses on the disyllabic adverbs that comes from the verbal coordinate phrase.This kind of adverbs are first formed by the phrase solidified into the disyllabic adverbs.This chapter chooses the study objects of"Fen Bie(??)"and"Lai Hui(??)",which has not been studied by predecessors,and then makes a detailed investigation of its development and evolution.Chapter five mainly studies the development and evolution from the noun coordinate phrase to the disyllabic adverbs.The number of such adverbs is relatively small,and mainly selecting the"Yuan Ben(??)"and"Zhao Xi(??)"as the study objects,discussing the process of their diachronic evolution and analyzing the reasons for the lexicalization and grammaticalization.Chapter six mainly summarizes the characteristics of the formation of coordinate disyllabic adverbs from the perspective of theory,and analyzes the motivation of the evolution of coordinate disyllabic adverbs from aspects of syntactic position,semantics,pragmatics,frequency and prosody,etc.It analyzes and explains the mechanism of the formation in terms of part of reanalysis,conceptual integration and analogy,Chunk psychology,metaphor and metonymy,etc.Chapter seven is the conclusion,summarizing the whole article.
