When the global financial crisis of2008has brought American economy intorecession, Obama has adjusted the Asia-Pacific strategic in his first term. At that time,American faced severe domestic and international situation. At home, American facedsome problem, such as economic recession, rising unemployment, in deep trouble of warand the decline of leaders’ authority. In the world, American also had many problems tosolve, such as the rising of emerging power, the new changes of terrorism, grim situationof nuclear proliferation, and problems of climate and energy and so on. In order to dealwith those problems, the Obama administration has made a full range of adjustment onAsia-pacific strategy which is include political diplomacy、economic、security andmilitary. From this adjustment we can analyze the direction and objective of Obama’sstrategy in Asia-Pacific region and clearly understand the change of internationalsituation. Researching the influence of Obama administration’s Asia-Pacific strategicadjustment on Sino-US relations has great significant for building the Sino-US strategicmutual trust and exploration the development model of relations between major countriesAt first, this paper describes the background and motivation of Obamaadministration’s Asia-Pacific strategic adjustment. It analyzes the background at homeand aboard in Obama’s first term, and it comes to the cause of this adjustment on thisbasis. Then it analyzes the objectives and measures of Obama administration’sAsia-Pacific strategic adjustment. This part starts from the analysis of the target, thenelaborate the change of American Asia-Pacific strategic adjustment in the aspects ofpolitics, economy, security and military. Based on the previous-mentioned parts, thispaper further analyzes the influence of the Obama administration’s Asia-Pacificadjustment from two aspects: China and Sino-US relations. This series of Obamaadministration’s strategic adjustment in Asia-Pacific region is trying to contain china’sdevelopment by battling for the economic market, encircling China under military siegeand alienating the relationship between China and China’s neighboring countries. In therespect of Sino-US relations, it is mainly analyze the influence on the game theory andstrategic mutual suspicion of Sino-US in the Asia-Pacific region. In order to help bothchina and American have a better development; we must explore a new pattern of relationship between China and American. In the end of this paper, it briefly introducesChina’s response to the adjustment of Obama administration’s Asia-Pacific strategic.Based on the background of the adjustment of the Obama administration’s Asia-Pacificstrategic and the situation of china in the Asia-Pacific region, we should not only developour own Asia-Pacific strategy, but also pay attention to improve our own comprehensivestrength. To be specific, in the matter of strategy, we should build our strategy which issupported by Asia-Pacific region; we should advance Asia-Pacific regional integration;we should also develop and improve the mechanisms of the Sino-US strategic dialogue.In the matter of strength, in the first, we should maintain introspection and strategicpatience. Second, we should strengthen our confidence and enhance our ability. Finally,we should be prepared for adversity and don’t pass any opportunities.
