The Predicament Of The Supervision Power Of The National People's Congress And Its Countermeasures

The National People's Congress(NPC)system serves as Chian's fundamental political system.With the progress of democratic process and the improvement of citizens' political manners,the NPC becomes more and more important.As an essential step to promote the role of the NPC,strengthening the NPC's supervision power can promote the development of China's socialist democratic legal system.However,the NPC's supervision is confronted with many problems in its subjects,process and effects,which hinder the NPC to fully play its role.The root of the problem is the imperfect construction of NPC itself and the lack of protection of related laws.By making comparisons between China and the West and learning from the positive experience of foreign parliamentary supervision,based on China's actual situation,offer suggestions on improving the NPC's supervision power from improving the development of related laws and the NPC itself,refining the supervision approaches,optimizing the supervision process and creating a favorable political and cultural atmosphere for supervision.
