Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, bringing new opportunities to China's tourism industry and raising higher demands.Although the government has achieved certain results in tourism legislation, the disorderly competition in the tourism market still exists.Tourism fraud, forced shopping and other negative news from the tourism industry are reported from time to time. There are not only the factors of the tourism market and tourism operators themselves, but also the government as the "visible hand" in the market economy. Therefore, under the background of the new era of promoting the development of global tourism in our country, strengthening the supervision of the tourism industry is the primary policy.Studying the issue of tourism government supervision has important implications for solving the problem of tourism market failure and promoting the rapid development of China's tourism industry.Due to the lack of supervision basis, the unclear authority and responsibility of the regulatory bodies, and the unsound regulatory system, caused a series of problems such as low efficiency of government supervision in tourism industry in China, frequent supervision, frequent supervision gaps, lack of regulatory effectiveness, etc. Therefore,it is urgent for the government to come forward to strengthen the supervision of the tourism industry. The Chinese government should actively take corresponding measures to solve the problems caused by the failure of the tourism market by improving the concept of supervision, perfecting laws and regulations, strengthening the construction of relevant systems, and enriching supervision methods. This will create a high-quality and healthy market environment for the development of China's tourism industry.
