Research On The Service Mode Of Rural Mutual Support And Old-age Hospital In Xi'an

China,a country with a large population,is one of the fastest aging society in the world.In its rural areas,there live more elderly population than in cities.The data shows that in 2030 there will be 17%rural population aged over 65,and the youth population fleeing the rural areas will make the issue of elderly nursing increasingly prominent.So that,some new patterns for elderly nursing have been raised and practiced in recent years,and learning from the success of Rural Nursing Homes for Elderly in Feixiang,Hebei province,Xi'an also has established some since 2013.However,many problems come to the surface after that,such as no elderly moved in,many accommodation unused,continuing support lacked,and lower utilization etc.Therefore,simply copying the pattern from Feixiang has brought problems,and in order to meet the real demands of the rural elderly it is quite necessary to research on the mutual-aid nursing home services.It is a profound discovery for the rural nursing service system and it is hoped that the waste of relative financial support could be decreased,and the Rural Nursing Home could be developed in a healthy and sustainable way.Focusing on the issues above,this thesis starts with the status quo of Mutual-aid Nursing Homes for elderly in Xi'an,and then based on the empirical survey in Chang'an district,it analyzes what questions the rural mutual-aid nursing home services have and where the problems originate.And it helps to understand the real needs of rural elderly,clarifies the relationship between rural elderly's needs and Nursing Home Services,and raises the new ideas of develop the Mutual-aid Nursing Home Services for rural elderly in Xi'an.There are six chapters in this thesis totally.Chapter 1:Introduction.In this chapter,it introduces the background,significance,literary review and research methods of this topic,and define the key concepts related to the Mutual Nursing Home for Rural Elderly.Chapter 2:Overview of Elderly Nursing in Rural Areas of Xi'an.Based on the field surveys and questionnaires in three villages of Chang'an district,it makes an analysis on the general situation of elderly nursing,and the willingness of elderly for nursing as well as the pattern of elderly nursing.Chapter 3:Status Quo Survey of Mutual-aid Nursing Home Services in Rural Areas of Xi'an.According to group meetings with villagers and elderly,it explains the basic facts of rural nursing homes in Xi'an,and by questionnaire and interviews it analyzes the features and status quo of rural nursing homes in Xi'an.Chapter 4:Major Issues of Mutual-aid Nursing Home Services in Rural Areas of Xi'an.Based on the results of group meetings and questionnaire,it uncovers the major problems probably existed in Mutual-aid Nursing Home Services in Rural Areas,such as funding sources,targets and objectives,staffing etc.Chapter 5:Causes for Failed Mutual-aid Nursing Home Services in Rural Areas of Xi'an.It chiefly concerns on two aspects causing the failure of Mutual-aid Nursing Home Services in Rural Areas,governmental decision making and characteristics of elderly.Chapter 6:Suggestions and Solutions.Rural Nursing Home is a novelty in Xi'an,and it should be pushed forward by improving the social awareness,analyzing the rural elderly needs,and enforcing the standardization of nursing home construction.
