The Image Analysis Of China In The Russian Opinion Poll After The Cold War

With the collapse of the Soviet Union,the bipolar structure comes to an end.Depending on strong economic and military strength,the United States has been trying to dominate and control the world.At the same time,in the context of globalization,interests of nations become complicated." Only super Power and Multi-great Power" turned into our international political pattern.Both Russia and China are important forces in promoting the development of a multipolar world.Although Russia is successor of the Soviet Union,it still occupies an important position in the world today,its land area and overall strength have been greatly reduced,and it is unable to stand alone against the United States.After China's reform and opening up,China's economic strength has been continuously expanding,its overall competitiveness has been continually improving,and its influence on the international arena has been increasing.However,China faces complex peripheral circumstances and the United States' caution.The same multi-polarization goals and similar external pressures have contributed to the formation of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Russia.After the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis,Russia and the West countries have turned against each other and there is no hope of improving relations in the short term.The crisis has accelerated the pace of Russia's "turn to the East" and objectively enhanced Russia's trust in China.Looking back on history,China's image in Russia has undergone a complex and varied course of change.There are both “glorious state of the philosophers” image and “decadent deteriorating state” image,as well as “brotherhood” image.After the end of the Cold War,Russia-China relations opened a new chapter,the practical cooperation between the two countries began one after another,and the interests of each other became more harmonious.China's image in Russia has also undergone new changes.This article attempts to analyze these changes based on the Russian public opinion poll.In general,since the 1990 s China's image in Russia is getting better and better.At the same time,it has obvious complexity,contradictions,and regional characteristics.
