It's necessary for society to cultivate healthy personality,which has become an important standard of selecting talents for many different fields. Real talents not only need to have knowledge and abilities, but also to keep healthy personality. That presents the importance of keeping healthy personality. Junior is the key period of cultivating personality. By studying junior's psychological characteristics, teachers can base on their characteristics to teach them with specific aims to promote healthy development of personality. Chinese is an important subject in the period of junior and because of its characteristics and specials, it plays an important role in cultivating students' healthy personality. Therefore, it is an invaluable discussion that how cultivating junior's healthy personality is connected with Chinese. Then this thesis determines “Chinese Teaching in Middle School and the Cultivation of Healthy personality.” as the topic.In this thesis, the first part from the perspective of psychology explains the definition and characteristics of personality, and the definition, standards and meanings of healthy personality to help readers simply understand related information about personality on the whole. The second part determines research object—junior. Junior is the key period of students' development. Junior keeps rapid development in physiology and mentality. In mentally, many contradictions appear, such as the development of self-conscious, the change of moods and the appearance of the second traitorous stage, etc. We must take measures to face these problems. The third part based on Chinese introduces Chinese and its teaching characteristics, specifically explains Chinese textbooks and information about junior healthy personality in passages; Chinese teaching has important influences on cultivating junior's healthy personality-the true, the good and the beautiful. The forth part shows specific measurements: how Chinese textbooks are used to cultivate students' health personality. Four styles of Chinese textbooks keep consistent with four elements--cognition, mood, will and action in students' ideology and morality to cultivate appreciation of the beauty, enlightenment of affections, development of will and behavior guidance. The last part: in teaching methods, different methods are applied to cultivate junior's healthy personality. It takes four typical teaching methods as examples: guiding reading approach, the situational approach, appreciation approach and practice approach. Based on real Chinese teaching, junior's healthy personality is cultivated in specific teaching.
