It is indicated in the Standardization for Compulsory Full-time Schooling for Chinese Class (Trial Version) that the teaching of Chinese should make the students a steadily-formed good characteristics and healthy personality. The middle school years is a key period during which a student's healthy personality is formed. The Chinese ancient literature theories always seek for the unity of personality and writings. Personality and works influence and promote each other. During the process of writing, the student can, through a series of observation, feeling, thinking, selecting materials and concept, learn the true, the good and the beautiful in life; develop a good habit of telling the truth, writing the fact and expressing the real sentiments, and enhance the ability to understand the objective world, form a good morality and healthy emotions, adopt a right outlook on life steadily, in order to reach the point of interaction between writing a piece of work and being an upright person, therefore to form a healthy personality.This paper explains the importance and urgency for the middle school students to develop healthy personalities, and analyzes the role the teaching of writing plays in developing a healthy personality, and discusses the reasons causing the losing of personality when writing in teaching writing .And finally, linking to the classroom teaching, this paper concludes that the teaching of writing should happen at the same time when the students are mentally growing, and that through the three stages of feeling the outside world, feeling the harmony and emotional distillation, the students can purposely have training on feeling ability, multi-dimensional thinking, and the emotional distillation, and steadily form a healthy personality during the process of learning writing.
