In the recent society, "Dialogue" gradually become a basic way for people to get along with each other. From the daily communication to international relations,the dialogues plays a very important part. Dialogue has deeply influenced the area of philosophy,ethics,politics,culture and education.Thus it has become the main stream in our time. Under the background of widely application of dialogue in human society, the dialogue in education area has been paid much attention to.However, influenced by factors such as traditional culture,the teacher--student dialogue in the classroom is not in a good condition. The students are in silence. There are rare equal relation and respection in teacher--student relationship.The study in this paper mainly talked about the present condition of teacher--student dialogue and the reason why the teacher cannot have dialogue with the students, and finnaly provide strategies to solve the problem.This paper mainly includes four parts. The first chapter explains the meaning of dialogue theoretically, including the meaning,form,character of dialogue and the neccesity and importance of dialogue between teachers and students.Chapter 2 analyzes the present condition and problem of dialogue between teachers and students,based on writer's classroom observation.The problems are that the teacher mistakenly take the questions and answers as dialogue. Elements such as equality, respection,kindness and careful listening are lacking in the dialogue.Chapter 3 analyzes the reasons of the problem, such as the lack of consciousness of dialogue, the influence of traditional culture and Class Teaching System. Chapter 4 provides the strategy to improve teacher--student dialogue, which is based on the problems in teacher--student dialogue.
