This article, in its introduction, tried to bring forward oppugn about the traditional expository way of teaching, and bring up the significance of the paper.In the first chapter of the main body, the correlative concepts of this essay such as dialogue and dialogue teaching were clarified. The second chapter and the third chapter try to begin the discussion from both historic and academic angles, with the second chapter beginning from the origin of dialogue teaching, stepping back the history of dialogue teaching from China and the West, and the third chapter the academic foundation of it, namely philosophic, pedagogic, and literary foundations. Then the fourth chapter goes further to advance the strategy for effective dialogue teaching from samples wrongly applying this teaching method. The following two chapters are practice-centered, with the fifth solving the conformation of this teaching method and related samples, which conclude the dialogue between student and teacher and the dialogue between student and student and so on, and the sixth ways to actualize it. The essence of this article is pointed out in the seventh chapter as a conclusion, that dialogue teaching is yet another new form of teaching which is close to the traditional way of teaching.
